Chamber Annual General Meeting

AGM on 20 November 2013 at Priory Hall - 5:45 for 6pm start - just time to get yourself a glass of wine to support you through the Presidents presentation and elections. There will be a light buffet after the proceedings when you can catch up with more detail on the Chamber plans and activities. Either way please let us know if you plan to come so we can judge numbers by booking here

Standing for Committee (or Co-opt)

The Chair and Vice Chair are standing again for their second year in post. The Treasurer nominated Martin Hill of Walter Wright. We have a vacancy for Secretary.

If you would like to stand for a committee post fill in the form getting a nomination from a Chamber member. 2013/14 will be a year where we largely focus on the retail sector again and so would encourage Chamber members with and interest and skills in this area to consider giving a little time to our efforts - every little helps. Joining the Chamber

During the year the Chamber will change to a formal Community Interest Company. The committee that is elected at this AGM will become the Management Committee of the CIC.The CIC is a company limited by guarantee and formally registered at Companies House. The guarantee is provided by the Directors of the Company and not required of the Committee members.

If you are not a member of the Chamber and would like to support the activities the download a form here and send it in for 2014 before the new CIC joining fee comes into force. At £20 a year it represents a fantastic ROI given the activities and strength of voice we now have.
