For those not regular followers of social media, particularly the various Hadleigh Facebook pages, you may have missed the activity of the past weekend which has led to local media giving good coverage of Hadleigh and its Chamber of Commerce.
Please note, for reasons not yet known, the administrators of the Hadleigh Suffolk Facebook page have chosen to remove their thread on the topic and all associated commentary from members of the public. The original is still available on the Hadleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page.
What began as a question at the Business Breakfast Forum on the 19th May with East Anglian Daily Times Business Editor Duncan Brodie, led to a positive spotlight on the town, great contributions from some of Hadleigh’s ambassadors and demonstrating to the wider audience in the county that Hadleigh has a commercial community with a progressive approach, and definitely contributing to “making Hadleigh bigger on the Suffolk Map".
The debate on Hadleigh and Sunday Trading on the High Street went on the airwaves Friday morning on BBC Radio Suffolk - click here to listen again (interview approx 10 minutes into show and live broadcast from Hadleigh approx 70 minutes in).
ITV Anglia News feature aired on Bank Holiday Sunday.
The East Anglian Daily Times also have a feature due to be published in a few days’ time. HCoC Chairman Sean Garnham gave a phone interview, whilst on Friday an online straw poll of their readers regarding Sunday trading took place on the EADT website.
